Experiencing the ellora caves
(narrated by one of the master's disciples)All the experiences narrated below would not have happened but for the grace of the master.
Quote written after listening from the master.
"Ellora temples, are generally viewed by all as only an exhibition of architecture. But there are a lot of hidden secrets within Ellora caves. These caves were not created to display architecture. Rather each and every it of the rock-cut temple was sculpted for the purpose of meditation."
We boarded a tempo traveller and alighted near the ellora caves after visiting Grishneshwar, one of the 12 jyothirlinga Sthalams of India.
We were told that there were thirty three caves in all seperated by a distance and we hired some autos to visit some prominent caves.
Our master took us to the ellora caves.
When we entered in one of the caves (see picture below),

indicated to us that a subtle out-of the world fragrance was filling
the atmosphere. Our master asked one of us to enquire if someone had put some strong
perfume in the cave premises and we could find no such person or thing.
Then our master touched the shiva lingam which was present in the
sanctum sanctorum and for a few minutes we were absolved in the solitude within
the cave. After that our master pointed to us that His palm after touching the
shivalinga was fully fragrant. It was the very same fragrance which was present in the cave a while
ago. We were surprised that after leaving the temple the fragrance which was
present previously present was not there. Not even a trace!!!
Then we visited the adjacent cave. When we were circumambulating around
the cave we could find a big hall in the left hand side of the temple. Our
master entered in to the cave followed by all of us and there was a
stone platform resembling a big seat erected over 2 stones.
Our Master remarked "Idhu yaarukkaaga amaikappatta medaiyo?" -
meaning (For whom would have this platform been constructed????).
Within seconds Our master indicated to us that a saint in astral body
was trying to communicate with us. When He indicated this, there was a
tingling sensation within the body and all of us closed our eyes in order to be
receptive and aware of the subtle changes happening around
Subsequently our master sat on the same platform and started to meditate.
We could all feel a different vibe and fragrance all around us. 5 minutes later our master got up from the platform and we could see that the entire platform was fully fragrant. This fragrance was different from the earlier fragrance that came to us. Then we could find a lot of smaller caves constructed. Our master told us that all these caves were constructed for spiritual aspirants to meditate and the quality of the rock is such that as soon as a sadhaka stars to meditate thoughts cease immediately there-by helping the sadhaka towards faster growth..
We then visited many other caves including Jain caves and in one of the caves there was a statue of a Jain Tirthankara. We all touched the feet of the statue, closed our eyes and started communicating with the
saint. We could hear some foreigners inquiring a guide as to what we were doing. We could hear the guide saying "I
do not know. May be they are praying".
Our master later deeply felt that an Indian guide did not even know even a little about India's true essence. He added that when all of us were drinking energy from the saint in to the chakras, the guide remarked that we were praying!!.
Finally we visited the Kailasanathar temple. We entered in to the cave and we could see many
sculpted Gods and Goddesses. They were not mere statues. Rather every bit was throbbing alive with life and they appeared very real. We could feel that the caves had a very deep silence and it needs tremendous courage to walk alone in the caves, as in the spiritual realm anything could happen in that depth. By the time we went inside it was around 6 PM and it was closing time. We managed to find a cave for ourselves and started to meditate. Something in the inner had touched the security person as well and he was very hesitant to request us to leave the premises despite the time. We meditated for half an hour and many of us had visions of a Jain tirthankara in astral body sitting near us and meditating. Our master remarked that there was an extra person sitting near us.
Finally after coming out our Master told us that There is still many many more in the caves and Ellora and it needs
at least a month's time to fully explore the inner secrets of ellora.
