Saangu Siddha Sivalinga Nayanar

No one will understand the meaning of the verses. Only a few people on earth will understand the real meaning of the words that have been uttered by the saint.

Only the person who has realized the soul (atman) can know the immortality of the soul. Death becomes a lie. Only when a sadhaka (spiritual aspirant) by virtue of his constant practice gets routed in his soul will come to know that death is a sheer fiction created by the ordinary masses. In fact death can never happen to you.

Saangu siddha Sivalinga Nayanar was born at Bringasailam(St. Thomas Mount) in the nineteenth century and right from childhood he was interested in spiritual realization. He sought a Guru in Kaazhi Siva Kannudaiya Vallal(Enlightened person at that time and a descendant of ThiruGnanaSambandar) and by the Grace of His Guru he attained enlightenment. By profession He was employed as a cook under Mr. Simpson, the managing director of Benny and Co. Despite his profession he was a master in his own right and he helped the way for several genuine seekers and did the alchemy of converting several of his disciples to realized souls. He was an adept in several siddhis and performed many miracles. He constructed a Madam for Thirugnanasambandar at Guindy and held daily satsang there. His chief disciple is Nirathisaianandar whose Samadhi is Located in Gajapathy Lala Street, Triplicane.

Saangu Siddha Sivalinga Nayanar attained Jeeva Samadhi on Aani month, Paurnami(that comes on the Full moon day of June Month), 1900 at Thirugnanasambandar madam, Maankulam, MKN Road, Guindy. His disciple Kollapuri Swamigal has also attained Samadhi beside His Master and the Samadhi of Kollapuri Swamigal is located on the left side of the Samadhi shrine of Saangu Siddha Sivalinga Nayanar.

Even now when we touch the Sivalinga atop the Samadhi of Kollapuri Swamigal, an open person can realize the sublime energy entering and filling His being within two minutes and then a darkness totally engulfes him. Only the pure darkness remains. This is open secret. Any body who is open enough to receive His energy can receive this. We welcome all of you to receive this blissful energy.

We are planning to start the next Thiruppani of renovating the Samadhi shrine of Saangu Siddha Sivalinga Nayanar and we are planning to perform Kumbabhishekham on the 108th Gurupooja day of the saint. The Samadhi shrine is located in MKN Road, Guindy.
